The Cambridge DELTA is an advanced ELT (English Language Teaching) qualification. It has three modules: an exam, a practical component, and written work on a chosen specialism. The exam consists of two papers related to ELT theories, methodologies, system, skills, testing, resources, etc. The practical component has four background essays followed by observed and graded teaching elements, including the last one by an external examiner. It also has an experimental practice component and reflection assignments on professional development . Finally, the ELT specialism consists of the background theory, needs analysis, course and assessments design, etc. Situational analysis is done if the specialism is ELT management.
